All Saints' Church, North Moreton

The parish church serving North Moreton is dedicated to All Saints.

History of the Building

The tub-front of the church survives from the twelfth century as testimony to the old Norman Church. The present building is basically the craftsmanship of the three following centuries. The tower was added in the fifteenth century and a modern porch was added during the Victorian restoration in 1858.

Two windows in the church are outstanding features and are comparatively rare. The East window of the chancel is Early English and the Decorated East window of the chantry is regarded by the experts as one of the finest examples of late thirteenth century glass in the country and depicts St. Nicholas, St. Peter, St. Paul, the death and Assumption of the Virgin and The Passion of Christ.
