Marriage Preparation Day

9 couples attended the Churn Benefice Marriage Preparation Day on Saturday 6th March 2010. It was held in Hagbourne Village School and led by 8 facilitators, including the 3 benefice clergy.
The day was packed with activity and good food! The couples learnt about the marriage service and spent some time thinking about the details of their own wedding. There were further workshops on "The Christian Understanding of Marriage", "Soul Mates" and "Conflict" - luckily there were no fights over the 2 bottles of champagne that went to the winners of a competition.
Valuable feedback from the participants was received, enabling facilitators to make improvements or changes for the following year.
